Even the most reliable cars can go wrong - if your car breaks down and you’re not covered, you’ll likely have to pay over the odds to get the problem sorted. What’s more, as a Halfords Breakdown Cover policy holder, you’ll also benefit from comprehensive bike cover, absolutely free.
In the instance of a breakdown, you can count on us to get you moving again. Halfords Breakdown Cover will send a Recovery Operator to you to repair your car or bike at the roadside. If this is not possible, we will get you home or to the nearest Halfords store or autocentre, where further repair work can be carried out.
We recommend regular Car Servicing and maintenance to maximise the lifespan of your car and reduce the risk of a breakdown.
We aim to reach you within 40 minutes. We’re the only UK breakdown service to operate its own garages, so no matter where you break down, you’ll never be far from one of our 700+ stores and autocentres.
We'll assist you within a one-mile radius of your home address, provided you've purchased the right level of cover. If we're unable to repair your vehicle, we'll arrange vehicle recovery to your nearest garage.
We’ll recover you to the nearest Halfords Cycle Repair Shop, where you’ll receive exclusive discounts on any repairs carried out. If we’re unable to get you to your nearest Halfords, we’ll recover you to your home, the nearest railway station, car rental agency or overnight accommodation.
